R&D turns a reference image into a plush you can hold

Designers, pattern makers and 3D modellers working in the same building as the sewing lines. Nothing is quoted from a picture alone — the concept is modelled, cut, stuffed and photographed in our own workshop before you commit to a single bulk order.

What We Own

Four things the R&D desk is responsible for

✎

Concept & trend scan

We read your category before drawing anything — shelf price, competitor size range, what buyers pick up. The concept is aimed at a price point, not just a shape.

◫

Construction drafting

Artwork is broken into panels, darts and seam allowances, then annotated with stitch type, pile direction and fill density so the sample room can build it without guessing.

◈

3D modelling & render

A digital model is rendered from six angles first — proportion, face expression and pose are settled on screen while changes are still free.

✦

Material & colour matching

Fur length, pile direction, backing weight and colour fastness are matched against a physical swatch library, not a screen. Pantone is converted to plush reality before sampling.

From artwork to first sample

First physical sample in about 7 days

Because sampling sits next door to the lines, there is no queue to join and no third party to chase. A clean brief — artwork, size, target price, quantity — usually comes back as a real sample you can squeeze within a week; simple styles come back faster.

  • Six-angle render before anything is cut, so proportion is agreed first
  • Physical sample with the actual fur and fill, not a stand-in fabric
  • Sampling fee quoted up front and deducted from the bulk order
  • Revision rounds logged, so the sealed sample is the last version — not a lucky one

Have a drawing, a photo, or just an idea?

Send it over. The R&D desk replies with a feasibility read, a recommended construction and a sampling plan — usually within one working day.
